This is Penelope, my sweet pink and periwinkle unicorn.

And this is Hope, the heartfelt loving unicorn.

The flash caught this one and really showed how much sparkle was in her tail and on her hooves. It isnt quite that intense when in front of you though.

I finally took the time to play a bit with one of the adorable Anya images.

I love the little pup and the paper is stunning. Ashley over at Treehouse Stamps told me it was great paper and I am so glad I ordered some!

I think I'm going to play with a few more Anya tonight. I bought the digi stamps and I might make lil red into a lil blue...

This one just didnt seem to make it to the blog before the holiday.

I dont know if you can see it but the entire tree has been outlined with red Spica to give it a very pretty glittery hint.

I noticed an announcement at SCS that Whimsy Stamps is having a January Design Call and since I do love to work with critters, I just had to give it a chance.

Have you looked at thier little animals? They are so dear and so sweet. I had to laugh a bit because they are definitely full of whimsy!

You can find them here. I bet once you look you'll have to have some!

I have put a bunch of cards up on my gallery in SCS, but I am going to add a few here too. So without further ado......

Sorry, I had to squish them a bit, but this is intended to be a his and hers thank you card. I wanted it to look like Fluffle was shaking that present so hard it shook up the layers of paper.

I promised someone over at SCS some pictures of where I live and some scenic views. These are all from my front yard.

This was one of my I started and Mom finished it. I did the coloring and she turned it into a card. You would not believe how many images I have that are colored and laying about the house waiting to be made into a card. I get going when I'm coloring and forget there is more to do.

I didn't think I was going to like these little fellas.. but I have to say this one looks so cute. I made it for my step-father as he is Mr. Fixit! I think the colors came out great and this is another one that I started and Mom finished.

I have one more, its MFT's Rain or Shine. I'm working on a little note and this one is going to be sent to Baby Francesca. InStyle Sketch Challenge for Thursday!

I love these stamps and it was so much fun to finally take the time to work with one.

The stamp is from Instyle Stamps, the paper is SU, embellishments from HA, I'm not sure where the ribbon came from though (local craft store I believe).

Ginger was colored in with Copic Markers and for a little sparkle, though its hard to see, her earrings and necklace are colored with Spica AtYou pens.

I can't wait for the next sketch challenge to come!

Random Thoughts

Have you ever had one of those weeks where it seems what can go sour will? That's me right now...with the exception of one very bright spot who is there for me every day, I could not be more thankful to have him in my life. Just when I'm at the point of tears, he always finds a way to make me smile and more often than not laugh. I owe him thanks from the very depths of my heart. (You know who you are.)

Another hiccup in my plans has come in the form of my four year old replacing my usb cord for my camera. I think that camera is doomed, I have a new one on my Christmas list. I suppose eight years is probably well beyond the life span for a digital camera. I got my money out of it and more. I was looking at it the other day and thought wow, this dinosaur only has 3.8 megapixels. Now I am very excited to get a new one as it seems most have at least twice that now.

I have been following Gina K's new release previews and all I can say is wow, wow, wow! I love the holding hands, the tropical blooms and the birds! My Memere adores birds and I always make sure I make her some cards every year featuring birds. Being in the NorthEast, I like Chickadees or Cardinals; I think I can make a Chickadee from the new stamp being released tonight.

All stamping purchases are on the back burner for awhile, I'm doing lots of sharing on SCS and having a ball at doing so. For now I'm keeping track of what I would like to have when there is some extra money in the bank.

Its a cold and brutal day, ice and rain mixed together. I'm trying to stay warm but I think I would enjoy more with a snuggle!

Cupcakes and cherries

I worked on a new card today, I love the SU cherry paper and since there is an upcoming card swap, I decided to make use of it with my latest Flopsey. Cupcake Flopsey with a red frosted cupcake, kissed with some Angel Wings Shimmers. I dont want to post it quite yet as its for a swap, wouldn't want anyone to see it before the swap.

I have to purchase some more space for posting images, sadly enough I have already capped what is available on a free account. Back soon with more images!

I have finally taken the step to try to join a design team. I am so very excited about it, I can only imagine how much fun being a member of a design family would be.

Here are a few more cards I have made recently, please enjoy.

I love coloring these cute little kitties, the scrapbook paper in the background has a high shimmer on it and I couldn't get the flash to not make it shine so much. The little stars on his are highlighted with a Spica pen and I think it adds just enough to make him pop.
